Outlands (AR1100)

Did we miss anything on this map? Is there something we didn't discover? Let us know!

With Sigil at the center, the Outlands are the last pathway to the Outer Planes. Sure the Outlands are one of the Outer Planes, but this one's different from the others. It's not part of the ring - it's the center of the ring. Journey across the Outlands (or the Land, as some call it) and eventually a body gets elsewhere - not just elsewhere on the plane, but into another plane entirely. The farther a body goes toward a plane on the ring, the more the Land looks like that plane, until at last he (or she, or it) comes to a gate between here and there.

1 - Fhjull Forked-Tongue

Within the skull of the creature, you will find Fhjull Forked-Tongue's abode. Head inside and down the spiraling stairs to talk with Fhjull. He is bound to cooperate by Trias, so he will answer your questions. He will tell you that he doesn't know where your mortality is, but that the Pillar of Skulls in Baator would. You'll have to ask him how to get to Baator (which is through the portal at area #2), and how to get back. Getting this information out of him will earn you 350,000 experience points.

You can also exploit the fact that Fhjull must cooperate by making him give you free equipment: Hatred's Gift, Cerebral Parasites (Kassegs), a Gordian Knot, an Adder's Tear charm, and several powerful scrolls: Globe of Invulnerability, Stygian Ice Storm, Bladestorm, Acid Storm, Chain Lightning Storm, and Remove Curse. Forcing Fhjull to hand over these items will shift your alignment toward evil, however.

One last item worthy of note is that if you gave away Fhjull's location to the Pillar of Skulls in Baator, fiends will show up to kill him when you return the second time. This will cause Fhjull to turn on you and become hostile.

2 - Portal to Baator

This portal leads to Baator, but will only appear once you've asked Fhjull how to get there.

3 - Portal to Curst Gone

This portal leads to Curst Gone, but will only appear after you've returned from Baator.
