Did we miss anything on this map? Is there something we didn't discover? Let us know!
1 - Warehouse
This is a warehouse run by a man named Ku'atraa. If you've talked with Mar and accepted his box in
the northwest portion of the Hive, then this will be your destination. Enter and offer the box to Ku'atraa. He will tell you to bring it to Brasken in
the southwest portion of the Hive and then run out of the warehouse screaming.
2 - Smoldering Corpse Bar
Two joinable NPCs and several quests can be obtained within the
Smoldering Corpse Bar, so you'll want to pay it a visit somewhat early in the game. Before entering the bar, though, talk to the Drunken Harlot near its entrance. As it turns out, she is actually pretending to be drunk and will try stealing from you.
If you have a wisdom of 16+, a pickpocket skill of 10+, or Annah is in your party, you will catch her in the act and can watch her technique for experience. A wisdom of 13 will get you 750 experience points and a +1 bonus to your pickpocket skill, a wisdom of 14-15 will get you 1000 experience points and a +3 bonus to your pickpocket skill, and a wisdom of 16+ will get you 1250 experience points and a +5 bonus to yuor pickpocket skill. After catching her, you'll also have the opportunity to grab her wrist with a dexterity of 13+. If you get a hold of her, you can either snap her neck or let her go.
3 - Barking-Wilder
Talk to Barking-Wilder here about your missing journal, after which you'll get an experience bonus. You can also join the Xaiosect (Chaosmen) faction through him if you're of a chaotic alignment. Joining the Chaosmen will pretty much ensure that you'll never be lawful or even neutral ever again, but it makes traveling through the
Tenement of Thugs easier and also allows you to purchase the Howl of Pandemonium spell.
To convince Barking-Wilder to let you join the Xaiosect faction, first growl at him, then snarl and start barking at him, and finally improvise a song (and a crazy one at that). Follow that up by quizzing him about who he is and then ask "Join the can I the chaosmen?" to which he'll respond by slapping you. This odd ritual gets you into the Chaosmen faction. If you cannot get these dialogue choices, then your alignment is not far enough toward Chaotic. If you are able to join the Chaosmen, you'll earn 1000 experience points if you haven't joined any other factions up to this point. For another 2000 experience points, go through the same dialogue options again and finish it off with "Exactly!" when he points out that you're already a member of the faction.
4 - Fell's Tattoo Parlor
A dabus named Fell owns a tattoo parlor here in the Hive. If Annah is in your party, she will become very skittish about being around Fell, but you can assure her that there is nothing to worry about. If you're speaking the truth, your alignment will shift toward lawful. If you're lying, your alignment will shift toward chaotic.
If you've obtained your
Severed Arm from the Crypt of Dismemberment, you can show it to Fell. This will allow you to purchase several new tattoos from him. You can also ask Fell about the arm. Fell uses a completely different type of communication, though, so unless you have an intelligence of 15+ or have previously learned the language of the dabus, you won't know what he's saying.
However, if Dak'kon is in your party, he can translate what Fell has to say. If you take this route and have a wisdom of 15+, you will realize that Dak'kon is not hiding something during the translation. Demanding an explanation from Dak'kon will get you 250 experience points, but convincing him with a high charisma, intelligence, or wisdom will get you even more. Either way, you will learn about four companions that you traveled with in a previous incarnation - Deionarra, Dak'kon, Morte, and "he who sees what others don't." Dak'kon will not reveal anything more in front of Fell, however.
Speak with Dak'kon again and quiz him about your four previous companions. With an intelligence or wisdom of 15+, you can learn that Dak'kon was a slave (3000 experience points) and that you rescued him from destruction (6000 experience points). You'll also learn that the "he who sees what others don't" companion was named Xachariah (3000 experience points).
Below is a table showing all tattoos that can be purchased from Fell, although many of them have conditions that must be met before they become available. Check our
Tattoo section for a full list of such conditions.
5 - Tenement of Thugs
You will not be able to enter the
Tenement of Thugs until you've talked with Pharod in the
Buried Village and had Annah join your party. Once you return here with Annah, you'll gain access.
6 - Mourns-For-Trees
A man by the name of Mourns-For-Trees sits along the side of the road here. He will explain that trees no longer survive here and wants people to
believe in trees so that they will grow. Agree to wish trees would grow for 500 experience points and then convince your party members to do the same for another 500 experience points.
7 - Damsel in Distress
A woman called "Damsel in Distress" will be calling for help here. She will tell you that her sister was attacked and attempt to lead you to a dark area south of the road. If you follow her, you'll be ambushed by thugs. Otherwise, you can choose to pick apart her story about needing help (such as the blood on her dress being dry). You can avoid the fight this way and will gain 500 experience points, but your alignment will shift toward evil.
8 - Exit
This exit leads to
the northeast portion of the Hive.
9 - Exit
This exit leads to
the southwest portion of the Hive.
10 - Amarysse
You'll meet a woman named Amarysse here. If you have spoken to Nodd in
Ragpicker's Square, he will have asked you to find her (she's his sister). Talk to her and she will give you 100 coppers to return to Nodd. You'll get 750 experience points for giving it to him.
