Did we miss anything on this map? Is there something we didn't discover? Let us know!
1 - Arrival
You'll initially enter the Warrens of Thought here, where you'll come face-to-face with a wererat named Mantuok. Mantuok will question you a bit and you'll have to be precise in your dialogue to avoid being locked up at area #4.
To avoid being locked up, tell Mantuok that you've arrived from the Buried Village to see him personally and that Soego sent you to speak with Many-As-One personally. This will get you teleported to area #8 instead.
2 - Exit
These stairs lead up from the
Drowned Nations.
3 - Minor Loot
Search this area for a
Leg Bone Club and a scroll of Ball Lightning.
4 - Teleportation Area
If Mantuok teleported you at area #1, this is where you'll arrive.
5 - Baatezu Mace
Search these racks of weapons to uncover the
Baatezu Mace.
6 - Wererat Guards
Depending on your attributes, you may be able to convince the wererat guards outside the gate to release you from your confinement. With a strength of 13+ you can threaten to end their lives, with a charisma of 13+ you can convince them that nobody will ever find out they released you, or with an intelligence of 13+ you can ask them to think about it. Successfully using any of these options will earn you 3750 experience points.
If you don't have the attributes to weasel your way through the gate, you can offer a bribe to the guards. It will cost you 100 coppers, but you'll still earn the 3750 experience points using this route.
7 - Murk
Search this area for the item called
Murk. It's a small bottle that will invoke Blacksphere. Very handy.
8 - Many-As-One
Down this passageway you'll find yourself in the chamber of Many-as-One, who turns out to be a collective entity made up of a large number of cranium rats. He (they) will ask you to kill the Silent King in the
Dead Nations.
If you accept the assassination mission, and then return with news of the Silent King's "condition", you'll gain 7500 experience points. The Nameless One will also recall another memory at this point, which will earn you an additional 1000 experience points if your wisdom is 9-13 and 2000 experience points if your wisdom is 14+.
If you choose not to accept Many-As-One's offer to kill the Silent King, you may find yourself battling a never-ending amount of cranium rats. You're free to leave Many-As-One's chamber and head back up to the
Warrens of Thought at any time, though, so don't feel obligated to keep killing rats.
